Seminar on Children's Literature

The VII Seminar on Children's Literature and Reading, co-produced with our Fundación Cuatrogatos and Miami Book Fair, was presented virtually on November 15, 2020. The central theme was Creating and promoting books for children and young people. The videos of the seminar can be viewed on our YouTube channel. Argentine artist Claudia Degliuomini created the illustration used in the event's poster.

Lecture by Colombian writer and librarian Luis Bernardo Yepes. Coordination: Maria Cueto.

Panel with the editors Maribel G. Martínez, from Lóguez Ediciones, in Spain, and Ana Laura Delgado, from Ediciones El Naranjo, in Mexico. Coordination: Antonio Orlando Rodríguez.

Two youth organizations from Latin America – Fundación Matambo and Mirthayú, from Neiva, Colombia, and Colectivo CoLIJbrí Oaxaca, from Mexico – shared their experiences in the important work of promoting reading among children and young people. The following participated in the panel: Diego Lebro, Sara Londoño and Juan Pablo Tovar (Matambó and Mirthayú Foundation) and Blanca Lozano Nava and Antonio Toledo (Colectivo CoLIJbrí Oaxaca).
