The Cuatrogatos Foundation held this great event as a final activity of The Reading Festival during the years 2013 and 2014.
In the year 2017 the Picnic of Books was made again, with a greater magnitude and a more varied cultural program, in collaboration with the Book Fair of Miami Dade College. The Picnic of the Books program includes oral narrators, kamishibai (paper theater), puppets, theater, music, plastic arts workshops. Finally, the gardens of the Koubek Center are filled with tablecloths with appetizing books to be read by children, their parents and grandparents.
This activity seeks to bring families together around books and reading and to foster spaces of communication and knowledge of other cultures.
