Las medias de los flamencos Tour 2018
The Cuatrogatos Foundation began on Thursday, January 11, Las medias de los flamencos Tour 2018 project.
Las medias de los flamencos is a play based on the homonymous short story of the Uruguayan writer Horacio Quiroga. This tour will allow the play to be seen by hundreds of children who study Spanish in public schools in Miami.
This 2018 tour, organized with the assistance of the Department of Bilingual Education and Foreign Languages of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, will be presented at the following schools: John I. Smith K-8, Coral Reef Elementary, Shenandoah Elementary, Royal Palm Elementary, Highland Oaks Elementary, Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary and Flamingo Elementary.
With this project, the Cuatrogatos Foundation wishes to support the teaching of Spanish language in Miami, and celebrate the centenary of the first edition of Cuentos de la selva (1918-2018), by Horacio Quiroga, a great classic of Ibero-American children's literature.
