The Reading Festival 2015

From 5 to 10 October 2015, for the third consecutive year, we held the Reading Festival / The Reading Festival. This event developed a set of literary activities (meetings with authors, oral narrative sessions and creative writing workshops) in different public schools in the city that offer bilingual English-Spanish teaching.
The program included the artistic evening for adults Celebration of Life, Poetry and Love, which featured the poem El Instante que nos Une, by Nancy Garcia, with illustrations by Zaida del Rio, published by the Foundation Cuatrogatos; Participated as special guests the writer Daí­na Chaviano; actors Lily Renterí­a, Rosie Inguanzo, Larry Villanueva and Juan David Ferrer, and composer and singer Mike Porcel, who gave a recital of their songs.
During the closing gala was presented the play for children Juicio a tres brujas, adaptation of the eponymous tale of Iliana Prieto, directed by Cristina Rebull and interpreted by actors of the group Prometheus of Miami Dade College. There was also a music and dance program for children students at the Encore Music Academy.
