X Seminar on Children's Literature and Reading in Miami
The Cuatrogatos Foundation and the Miami Book Fair invite you to the X Seminar on Children's Literature and Reading, scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College (Downtown), Building 3, Room 3314-15. This year's central theme is Books for a Plural World.
This seminar, focused on information and reflection, is part of the Spanish-language programming of the Miami Book Fair and is aimed at parents, teachers, librarians, authors, and others interested in children's and young adult literature. No prior registration is required.
The schedule will be as follows:
10:00 a.m. Censorship and Books for Children: Talk by Argentine writer Claudia Piñeiro. Coordinator: Sergio Andricaín.
11:15 a.m. Literary Creation: Reading and Writing: Talk by Spanish writer Ana Alcolea. Coordinator: Betty Quintero.
1:30 p.m. Botany of the Spirit: Lecture by Mexican writer Verónica Murguía. Coordinator: Ana Schein.
3:00 p.m. When There Is Something to Tell: Talk by Spanish illustrator Elena Odriozola.
4:15 p.m. Literature and Stage: The Artefactus Experience: Playwright Eddy Díaz Souza in conversation with Dainerys Machado Vento and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez.
