Cuatrogatos Foundation Award 2021: The 20 Winning Books

We announce the 20 winning books of the 2021 Cuatrogatos Foundation Award. The selection is the result of the work of a committee of readers that took into consideration 1,194 publications from 182 publishers from 16 countries. The graphic image that identifies this year's award was created by the prestigious Ecuadorian illustrator Santiago González.

The 20 winning books are part of the catalogs of publishers from Argentina (Limonero, Ojoreja), Chile (Ediciones SM Chile, Editorial Muñeca de Trapo, Liberalia Ediciones, Saposcat), Colombia (Panamericana Editorial), Spain (Anaya, Bookolia, Edelvives Spain , Ekaré Editions, Ediciones SM España, Kalandraka Editora, Libros del Zorro Rojo, Lóguez Ediciones) and Mexico (Ediciones El Naranjo). Six of these publishing houses had not previously received the Fundación Cuatrogatos Award.

As usual, in addition to awarding the 20 prizes and highlighting 12 finalist books, we disseminate a list of 100 titles recommended for their literary and plastic values.

This work is done to highlight quality books and help them reach the largest number of homes, libraries and schools.
